PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE FOR INITIAL HEARING HOMEOWNER REHABILITATION

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 

Communities Unlimited is considering applying to the Mississippi Home Corporation for funding through the HOME Investment Partnership Program – Homeowner Rehabilitation Program. The State of Mississippi has allocated $6,600,000, which will be made available to cities, towns, and counties on a competitive basis to undertake homeowner rehabilitation activities.

These funds may be used for activities that provide affordable housing opportunities for low- and very low-income persons. More specific information regarding eligible activities, program requirements, and the rating system will be provided at a public hearing to be held at the Carnegie Public Library at 114 Delta Ave, Clarksdale, MS on Friday, October 16,2026 from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM.

The purpose of the public hearing is to obtain citizen input regarding the development of the application. The hearing will be held at an accessible facility. All comments and input are welcome and must be submitted in writing.

If a translator is needed for persons who do not speak English, please contact Communities Unlimited at 479-443-2700 at least five (5) days before the meeting so that appropriate accommodations can be made.
